Phew, all done!

Finally! This took a good amount of the summer through a bit of trial and error, but I learned a pretty good deal.

The original idea was to put a modern spin on strategy rpgs like Final Fantasy Tactics where you have the male/female counterparts of healers, damage dealers, and magic users that tend to be situated in a medieval period. Years and years after its release Tactics is still easily one of my most favorites- from the challenge of creating the ultimate party to the pixel art to the concept art to the crazy convoluted story line, it was a rare and solid game.

Will have to put it on the backburner for now that school is starting up in only 2 weeks (yikes), but I definitely plan on doing more- environments, bad guys, and props.

  2. Very lovely designs, Shanna. I'm particularly fond of the 80's era punks & the magicians. If this game ever does exist, I'll buy a copy. Heck, I'll buy two!

By the way, did you ever have the chance to try out Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, along with it's sequel?
